There is something i would love to share on this page, particularly because i saw it somewhere and it caught my attention and i thought it would be nice if i pass on the message.
I know its a long message but we can spare GOD more than five(5) minutes of our time..........

Late in December 1996, a large family gathered for a joyous Christmas in the city of Atlanta in Georgia, USA. There were so many gathered that night, five of the children slept in the converted garage, kept warm during the night by an electric heater placed near the door.
During the early hours of the morning, the heater suddenly burst into flames, blocking the doorway. In seconds the room became a blazing inferno. the frantic 911 call revealed the unspeakable terror as one of the children could be heard screaming, "I'm on fire!" The distraught father rushed into the flames to try to save his beloved children, recieving burns to 50%of his body. Tragically, all five(5) children burned to death. They died because steel bars on the windows thwarted their escape. There was only one door, and it was blocked by the flames.
Imagine you're back in time, just minutes before the heater burst into flames. You peer through the darkness at the peaceful sight of five(5) sleeping youngsters, knowing that at any moment the room will erupt into an inferno and burn the flesh of horrified children. Can you in good conscience walk away? NO! you must awaken them and warn them to run from that death trap! The world sleeps peacefully in the darkness of ignorance.
There is only one(1) door by which they may escape death. The steel bars of sin prevented their salvation, and at the same time call for the flames of Eternal Justice. What a fearful thing Judgement day will be! The fires of the wrath of Almighty GOD will burn for eternity. The Church has been enthrusted with the task of awakening them before it's too late. We cannot turn our backs and walk away in complacency. Think of how the father ran into the flames. His love knew no bounds. Our devotion to the sober task GOD has given us will be in direct proportion to our love for the lost. There are only a few who run headlong into the flames to warn them to flee(Luke 10:2). Please be one of them. We really have no choice. The apostle Paul said, "Woe is unto me if I preach not the gospel!" (1 corinthians 9:16).
The "Prince of preachers," Charles Spurgeon, said, "We need to be ashamed at the bare suspicion of unconcern." A christian cannot be apathetic about the salvation of the world. The love of GOD in him will motivate him to seek and save that which was lost. You probably have a limited amount of time after your conversion to impact your unsaved friends and family with the gospel. After their initial shock, they will put you in a neat little ribbon-tied box, and keep you at arm's length. So it's important that you take advantage of the short time you have while you still have their ears. See example of the man in Luke 8:38-39.
It is important to realise that we should share our faith with others whenever we can. The Bible says that there are only two times we should do this: "in season, and out of season" (2 Timothy 4:2). The apostle Paul pleaded for prayer for his own personal witness. He said, "Pray for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly as I ought to speak" (Ephesians 6:19,20).
Remember that you have the sobering responsibility of speaking to other peoples' loved ones. Perhaps another Christian has prayed earnestly that GOd should use a faithful witness to soeak to his beloved mom or dad, and you are the answer to that prayer. You are the true and faithful witness GOD wants to use.
Keep the faith of the ungodly before your eyes. Too many of us settle down on a padded pew and become introverted. Our world becomes a monastery without walls. Our friends are confined solely to those within the Church when Jesus was the "friend of sinners." So take the time to deliberately befriend the lost for the sake of their salvation. Remember that each and every person who dies in his sins has an appointment with the Judge of the Universe.Hell opens wide its terrible jaws. There is no more sobering task than to be entrusted with the gospel of salvation working with GOD for the eternal well-being of dying humanity.
Arise today brother/sister! Go out and preach!! Sleep no more!!! We must do the work while it is yet day...........

Who Are Our Heros?
"Dear friend, dont let this bad example influence you. Follow only what
is good. Remember that those who do what is right prove that they are
Gods children; and those who continue in evil prove that they are far
from God." (III John 1:11)
We all have our heros and look up to certain people. We may not fully
realize it, but those whom we smile upon, we tend to mold ourselves
after. To prove this point, think of how many young people have a teen idol
or pop star they think is very cool. Chances are, they will buy that
persons CDs, watch their movies, and sometimes even attempt to dress like
them.
Emulating what is good, pleasing to God, and honorable is wonderful.
However, what happens when the people or lifestyles we are following do
not reflect ideas or modes of living which will bring our ultimate
health and happiness?
As the above Bible verse reveals, we should be careful who or what we
follow so that we are only pursuing what is good, and not evil. Sure, we
all make mistakes at one time or another, but those who desire to
please God will never remain in sin, for they know it is an abomination to
Him.
Today is a good day to think about who influences YOU. Are they people
who encourage you to be a better person, or those who are leading you
closer to a path of unhealthy lifestyles? It is okay to let go of, and
walk away from that which brings us father away from God. Thankfully, it
is never too late to change our course.

The Battle For Change
When a new year rolls around we think a little more about making some
changes. But personal change comes very hard. Old habits are difficult
to break. And many people find them impossible to break.
This is what happens. You come to the place of realizing that a certain
habit is bad. For example, with the threat of AIDS today, promiscuous
sex can kill you. All the logical powers of your head tell you the habit
is bad. Even Magic Johnson promotes abstinence. But your heart is not
in step with your head. The power to follow what you know is right is
not present. You feel trapped. In fact, you know you are a prisoner of
your own lusts. You cannot do what you know is right.
Amazingly enough, your experience is verifying the words of the Bible.
Listen, "I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, but I
see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the
law of my mind, making me a prisoner of the law which is in my members"
(Romans 7:22-23). Here is a losing battle. The mind says one thing, but
the power to follow through is absent. I am a prisoner of sin. When I
realize my condition, I begin to look in the right place for answers.
Interestingly enough, voices from many quarters are telling us to look
within for the power to change. But I've already found that such power is
not present. I must look outside of myself. I must ask, "Who will set
me free from the body of this death?" (Romans 7:24).
Here is the proper perspective. The power for change comes from someone
else. Who is it? "Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!"
(Romans 7:25). Jesus Christ is the power to change. Jesus Christ is the
power to break old habits and form new ones.

Modern Technology
"What the wicked dreads will overtake him; what the righteous desire
will be granted" Proverbs 10:24
Recently I went to the hospital to have several tests run. This was a
new experience for me, and I was a little overwhelmed with the
technology of it all. For the stress test, I was hooked up to a machine via
electrodes attached to my body. A lot of information about the beat of my
heart was logged as the test proceeded. The next test was an echogram.
it was explained to me that it was an ultrasound of this vital organ. I
could see my heart beating and the blood pulsing through as the
technician moved the instrument from one part of my heart to another. The
doctors will review the tests and tell me the results in a few days.
There is one fact the tests will not show, however. It is the reality
that I have a heart that beats for Jesus. This is one fact which will
not show up on any monitor, but it will show up in my lifestyle, by my
actions and my words. Only God can read the printout of this most vital
aspect of my heart. He is the only one who knows my motives, desires and
inner truths. I pray that the desires of my heart and the life I lead
will always be pleasing to God, and will bring glory to His name.
Who does your heart beat for?

Envy-wrecking
Do you have a friend who looks good in absolutely everything she puts
on? Argh! The girl could drape herself in the cover of her car and look
classy enough for the fashion runway. If I draped myself in a car
cover, I guarantee that I would look more like a Buick. And I'll just go
ahead and admit that I need to drop a few pounds off these fenders.
Envy is such a dangerous thing. It throttles peace- and worse, it leads
to anger, even rage. Psalm 37:8 says, "Stop your anger! Turn from your
rage! Do not envy others- it only leads to harm." (NLT) The envious,
angry person experiences painful harm personally. Proverbs 14:30 says,
"envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness of the bones." (AMP) But
it's more than just personal rottenness. That harmful rotten character
often spreads, spilling over onto family and friends.
How do we avoid bone-rotting envy and wrath? We replace them with love.
1 Corinthians 13:4 tells us that "Love is patient, love is kind. It
does not envy" (NIV) Love is the opposite of envy.
Anytime we catch ourselves envying, we can ask God to love that person
through us. He loves to answer that prayer. As He gives us love for the
one we're tempted to envy, we discover that love always wants the very
best for others. It rejoices in the victories of others.
Yes, even if the others have exceptionally sleek fenders.

What the Bible Says About the Church
What's really important to you?
"Well", you say, "a lot of things are important to me; my home, my
family, my job, going fishing... " But what about church? "Aw, the kids go
to Sunday school, but I don't need church. I can worship sitting by the
lake under a big tree while I'm fishing." Sounds typical, doesn't it? A
lot of people feel just this way. So going to church is very low on the
list of priorities.
But going to church should be on the top of the list. Why? Well, the
apostle Paul reminds the church at Corinth by asking, "Do you not know
that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?"
(1 Corinthians 3:16). In other words, Christian people gathered for
worship compose a temple. God's Holy Spirit dwells in that temple.
Yes, God is everywhere. You can turn to God and talk with God no matter
where you are. But there is a special sense in which God is in His
church.
You see, in Old Testament times, God had a special place to meet with
His people. That meeting place was the ancient temple in Jerusalem. That
temple was a picture of the church.
In New Testament times, after the coming of Christ, God no longer has a
single temple in Jerusalem where He meets with His people. God now has
churches scattered throughout the world. Every church, every group of
people meeting for worship, is a temple. These people are gathered to
meet with God, to talk with God and to listen to God. If you attend such
a church, you too can expect to meet with the living God. Do you see
why going to church is so important?
